The UHI Scribblers is an online creative writing group for both students and alumni of the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI). Founded by students from the “Creative Writing in the Highlands and Islands” degree in 2024, the UHI Scribblers offer a space for learning, collaboration, and support in its members’ writing endeavours. It is open to students from other fields of study, so long as they have an interest in the craft of writing.

Meeting on Thursday nights at 7pm via Google Meet, its members host workshops, prompt nights, and informal catch-ups. The UHI Scribblers have also held events, such as an online pantomime written and performed by its members, a murder mystery night and a quiz night for UHI writing residentials. Having won UHI club of the year in 2025, the UHI Scribblers have built a strong community within its inaugural years, and hope to accomplish much more in the future.
